Principal's Message

Dear Family,

Are you looking for a way to finish high school? Do you wish you knew more about careers that might be a good fit for you? Are you hoping to increase your knowledge and skills to be able to make a good living? Then you have come to the right place. 

At Federal Way Open Doors, we nurture the genius inside each person. We start with the gifts and talents our scholars already have, and then we go from there. Here is what our graduates say:

Open Doors is a small, personalized, innovative high school. We are a Big Picture Learning school where scholars pursue their passions and interests. This means that scholars:

• Are part of a small class called “Advisory”
• Learn through interests and internships in the community
• Plan and carry out projects of their own design
• Are not graded in traditional ways - we provide feedback on the development of real-world competencies and skills needed for the future

Once you enroll, we will help you decide which pathway fits you best. We offer in person classes, online school through Graduation Alliance, or a GED program with support.
